About me

I have also worked with many start-ups, from which I have gained some of my most valuable experience, working closely with developers, marketing experts, information architects, content writers and product/business owners. This experience has been crucial to my personal development as a digital designer.

I have an inherent passion for ‘all things’ design/digital and I believe that a rewarding experience should involve a rich, user-centric journey led by consistency & familiarity.

My strengths lie in the early identification of potential UI/UX problems and the production of high-quality user-centred designs. I also have extensive studio-management experience from running a team of 10+ designers for an online retail giant in the UK.

In 1998 I obtained an MSc in 'Designing Worldwide Interactive Systems / Human Computer Interaction’ from the University of Huddersfield (which was the first Masters Degree course of its kind in the UK).

In addition to my web-based work, native app-based projects include the creation of a number iOS apps (from concept to launch), ranging from a suite of apps endorsed by a world-renowned sporting brand to a live music performance tool, interactive children's book, and CBBC Digital Comics ‘pilot’ apps where I was solely responsible for the UI and back-end development (using Unity 3D & Active reader (by tall Chair Inc).

I am a highly-motivated and passionate designer and I thrive in dynamic, transparent and proactive environments where I am part of a team. I am also extremely productive when working autonomously.
